This term our topic is the Vikings. We will be looking at the following:

• Viking society
• Food and Famine
• Viking Gods
• Up Helly Aa – The Viking festival
• Deaths and burials
• Longboats – designing and making
• Rune writing
• Health and beauty
• Jewellery making
• Songs and music
• Sports and games
• Saga stories

If there is anything you are able to help out with or be involved in, then please let us know – we would love some parental involvement!

Skills for Life, Learning and Work

Each term primary 4/5 will be focusing on developing a new skill. In term one; we are looking at WORKING WITH OTHERS.

We have been working together in pairs, groups and as a whole class whilst focusing on the specific aspects of working together that we decided we need to do to be successful.
